Let me start by saying that El Mamma BBQ is every bit worth your time, expectations and your money - it was mine. I’ve passed this gem so many times and never had the opportunity to get seated and enjoy this experience, I now I feel like I’ve wasted so much time waiting so long.

I ordered the rack of Beef Ribs with a side order of fries and a salad. I expected a long wait but I received my ribs quite fast to my delight. These beef ribs are so soft and juicy, tender to the touch and just falls off the bones. Don’t be startled by the size of the bones, as the meat that’s wrapped around them is enough to satisfy your appetite. The rack is so beefy with enough to enjoy one rib at a time with a few bites. Every bite filled with flavour, every chew effortless, and every swallow pleasurable.

Needless to say, my expectations were met and I highly recommend here.

What’s also to commend is the nice atmosphere that they provide around, it feels personal in the restaurant but also cozy how close the tables are to the ones around you enjoying their meals as well with a great view and smell of the kitchen. The staff here are incredibly friendly and guarantees you a great visit.

To top it off, we were given a complimentary dessert plate with different delights. The brownie was really a nice bite, and the pistachio cake, WOW. This is a must have after enjoying a great meal. I promise you will thank me.

Disappointing Experience – Overpriced and Poor Quality Food

We recently had a very underwhelming dinner at this barbecue restaurant, and unfortunately, I can’t recommend it to anyone looking for good food or value for money. We ordered two main dishes: one was a salmon and shrimp plate that was priced at a steep €40. The shrimp were greasy and oddly flavorless — they didn’t even taste like shrimp — and the salmon was completely dried out. For that price, we expected at least decent quality, but it was honestly one of the worst seafood dishes we’ve had in a long time.

The second dish was a mixed grill. While the ribs were passable, the steak was supposed to be cooked medium but came out well done and tough. The chicken breast was also extremely dry and unpleasant.

The side dishes were just as disappointing. The mashed potatoes had zero flavor — bland and forgettable. The coleslaw was just a pile of cabbage drowned in mayo, with no seasoning or tang whatsoever. There was absolutely no attention to taste or balance.

To top it off, even though the service was okay, the place felt cramped and uncomfortable. Tables were packed too close together, which made the entire dining experience feel rushed and claustrophobic.

Total bill was €101, and we left feeling like we had thrown our money away. If you’re looking for good barbecue or grilled dishes, this is definitely not the place. Way overpriced for such poor quality....

In terms of presentation, the spareribs were served hot and looked incredibly appetizing. The portion size was generous, ensuring that even the heartiest of appetites were satisfied. The service was prompt and friendly, adding to the enjoyable dining experience.
